PUP ON THE RISE: AMERICAN OPERA

In the depths of the Michigan music scene, passionate musicians and undiscovered talents are plentiful. Standing out from the crowd is no easy task and when it happens, you know it’s something special. American Opera (John Bonham) is as passionate and talented as they come. There’s something genuine about him, behind the beard and beyond the guitar held close to his chest. From the separation of his previous band, Your Best Friend, a widely respected Michigan artist of 8 years, John started American Opera in August of 2011. It only takes one listen to be captivated by the honesty and compelling nature of his songs. The man is a lion heart and the music is every bit revealing of that. American Opera has the potential to be the best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be.
